This website is a great tool kit for parents that includes checklists, tips, and news that informs parents on how to help their children and answer common questions.
I think it's really important for teachers to reach out to the parents and provide resources like this one for them. A lot of them aren't aware of such things, but would like the information and do want to help. I think they too, like the students just need a little help on how to do it.
